DUMP AND BAKE MEATBALL CASSEROLE
You only need six ingredients to make this Dump and Bake Meatball Casserole, and there’s no need to cook the pasta first! Because you just “dump” all ingredients into a casserole dish and let it bake, the preparation time is significantly shortened. This meatball casserole, which uses easy ingredients like frozen meatballs and jarred spaghetti sauce, is as simple as it gets when it comes to making meals that are ideal for families.
My children are huge fans of pasta dishes like this meatball casserole, which only requires a few ingredients and takes just 30 minutes to prepare and bake. The tastes aren’t overpowering, it takes less than five minutes to prepare, and it’s consistently a hit with the kids when they come over for supper. That pretty much covers everything, can’t ask for much more than that! The ingredients for this meatball casserole are “dumped” into a single baking dish, and the oven is then responsible for completing the remaining steps of preparation. Preparation is quick and simple since you can use frozen meatballs, canned spaghetti sauce, and dry noodles.
THE INGREDIENTS LIST:
- A 16-ounces box.Of rotini pasta (uncooked).
- 3 Cups.Of water; at room temp.
- A 24-ounces jar.Of pasta sauce.
- A 14-ounces bag.Of frozen precooked meatballs.
- 1 small spoon.Of kosher salt
- Shredded mozzarella cheese; I used 2 cups, but you can add more!!
PREPARATION:
- Step 1 – Prepare the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a baking dish that is 9×13 and sprayed it with cooking spray.
- Step 2 – Place the uncooked spaghetti in the baking dish, then follow with the water, meatballs, pasta sauce, and salt, then cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Step 3 – Bake for thirty-five minutes, tossing the ingredients together every five minutes.
- Step 4 – After the pasta has finished cooking, give it another toss, then sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Step 5 – Continue baking for a further five to eight minutes, or until the cheese has completely melted.
- Step 6 – If desired, serve with a garnish of grated parmesan cheese or fresh chopped parsley on top before serving.
Serve with a side salad, such as a bag of green vegetables, to which you may add cherry tomatoes and diced cucumbers. In addition to that, one of my favorite things to do is to go to the supermarket and pick up some pre-mixed, ready-to-use salad mixes, such as Caesar salad.
