HOW TO MAKE THE BUCKEYES?
For this simple Buckeye recipe, only a few ingredients are needed. In a couple of minutes, these classic peanut butter candies come together and are dipped around a creamy peanut butter core in dark chocolate for a snappy shell.
1+1/2 C. Of « peanut butter ».
1 C. Of softened butter.
1/2 TSP. Of vanilla extract.
6C. Of confectioners sugar.
4C. Of semisweet chocolate chips.
I used wax paper to line a large tray or a baking sheet.
I mixed the confectioners’ sugar with peanut butter, vanilla and butter in a medium bowl, stirring until well blended.
I rolled the peanut butter mixture into small balls and placed the balls on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
I pressed a toothpick into the top of each ball and chilled for about 40 minutes in the freezer until firm.
I put the chocolate chips in the microwave to melt, for about 60 sec.
Then I dipped each peanut butter ball in chocolate using the toothpick.
To make them look like Buckeyes, I leave a small amount of peanut butter showing at the end.
I placed the peanut butter balls coated with chocolate on wax paper and removed the toothpick.
I refrigerated until set definitively. Then I served them, for storing, I let them in a jar in the fridge.
THIS IS A PERFECT BUCKEYES RECIPE. SIMPLE, EASY, AND SO DELICIOUS. I’LL BE SOO GLAD IF YOU ENJOY THIS RECIPE!!!
