OLD FASHIONED MEATLOAF

HOW TO MAKE OLD FASHIONED MEATLOAF

This meatloaf recipe is a traditional Southern dish. It’s difficult to say no to a delicious meatloaf, particularly on a chilly day. It’s the ultimate comfort food, and it’s the perfect meal to prepare when you want to fill the home with delicious savory aromas while you go about your business doing something else while supper is cooking.

Served with mashed potatoes and green beans or corn, this old-fashioned Southern-style meatloaf is an excellent meal to share with friends and family.

It’s not difficult to create a nice meatloaf; taste and wetness are the most important elements in avoiding a dry, flavorless meatloaf. The veggies in this mixture (together with the ketchup and/or barbecue sauce) will enhance the taste of the dish. If you want the most delicious meatloaf, it’s common to suggest an 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio. However, if your beef is very lean, you may want to add some ground pork to the meat mixture in order to keep it moist.

Using leftover meatloaf in sandwiches or sliders is a great idea. Alternatively, you may freeze it in individual pieces for lunches. It’s also possible to enjoy this comfort meal while following a ketogenic diet if you substitute the breadcrumbs with crushed pork rinds or another low-carb ingredient.
