INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED:
THE CRUST INGREDIENTS:
Unsalted butter; I used 2 sticks softened.
⅔ Cup.Of packed brown sugar.
2⅔ Cups.Of all-purpose flour – sifted.
1 Tsp.Of salt.
FOR THE PECAN TOPPING, I USED:
½ Cup.Of unsalted butter.
1 Cup.Of dark brown sugar.
⅓ Cup.Of raw honey.
2 Tbsp.Of heavy cream.
1 Tsp.Of vanilla extract.
2 Cups.Of chopped pecans.
Prepare the oven by heating it to 350 degrees. Prepare a baking dish that is 9 by 13 inches by lining it with aluminum foil or parchment paper and allowing an overhang of two inches.
To prepare the crust, whisk the butter and brown sugar together in a stand mixer until they reach a frothy consistency. Mix the flour and salt together until they form a crumbly consistency.
Now, press the crust into your 9×13 inch pan and bake it for 20 minutes, or until it is golden brown and has reached the desired temperature.
While the crust is in the oven, start making the filling by mixing the butter, brown sugar, honey, heavy cream, and vanilla in a pot of a suitable size.
After stirring for approximately a minute over medium heat, add the chopped pecans and toss to combine.
Take the crust out of the oven while it is still hot, and then pour the pecan filling on top of it, spreading it out evenly over the surface.
Put it back in the oven and bake for another 20 minutes. Wait until the bars are totally cooled before cutting them.
To remove the foil off the bars, you must first lift them out of the package using the foil. Cut into pieces, and serve.
